Yoga

Yoga comes from the Sanskrit word "yuj" meaning to join or unite. The practice of yoga involves integrating all aspects of the individual -body, mind and soul - to achieve a happy, balanced and purposeful life. It is an ancient Hindu practice that is now becoming popular worldwide as a way to achieve physical, mental and spiritual health. A list of yogasanas (along with instructions and benefits), breathing techniques, warm-up exercises, and breathing practices is available here.

Surya Namaskar is a sequence of ten simple yogasanas. Its root can be found in yoga philosophy of Vedic traditions. The approach helps to develop at all five personality levels, namely physical, prana, mental, intellectual, and spiritual. It helps individuals to lead a very healthy lifestyle with eternal bliss. Resources on how to perform Surya Namaskar, its benefits, and the philosophy and science behind Surya Namaskar are available here.
