Hindu YUVA Releases August 2009 Edition of Tattva Magazine
Saturday, August 1st, 2009Namaste,
Many of you are counting down the days until the new academic year begins, while some of you are counting down the days until your friends leave for the new semester. We are also counting down at the Tattva Team. The September issue is our anniversary edition, so we print it, and that means we have more responsibilities to manage and deadlines to meet. But never mind that, let’s talk about August. What is so significant about August? That is, what does it offer that is unique and provides us an opportunity to grow? Summer ends and schools get back into session, and not much changes for young professionals. Share your thoughts with us and we may even publish them. If you’re still wondering what I am going on and on about, refer to the introductory message for the July Edition, and try to come up with something similar for the month of August.
However, there is one notion that I am certain about. All of us have been through a significant part of the summer, and that means we have stories to tell, new perspectives to share, struggles and accomplishments to reflect upon, and a little bit of time left before we have to forget it all and hit the books. So put it all together and submit your work to Tattva Magazine. A book report, your take on a current event or debate topic, a philosophical rant, an inquiry into some sociological phenomenon, a poem, drawing, a journey into the lyrics in between the lines of some song, or anything else you can reasonably expect to be published in a magazine aimed at Hindu students and young professionals. Just send it to tattva-editor at hinduyuva dot org. We look forward to your submissions :).
This edition contains a thought-provoking opinion piece, a comprehensive paper on Carnatic Music, a report on a Sangh training camp, an inspiring piece on a student’s experiences volunteering in India, an interesting biographical piece on J.K. Rowling, and an announcement about upcoming Yuva Sangams in the West Coast.
Keep Well,
Tattva Team
