Hope you all had a wonderful start to the new year. Unfortunately the Hindus in Malaysia are going through a very difficult time. According to a conservative estimate, 10,000 Hindu temples have been demolished in Malaysia since 1985. The Hindus form more than 15 per cent of the population, but they do not enjoy and exercise any political right. Almost all the temples demolished are older than the Republic of Malaysia. Ironically Malaysia celebrates its 50th anniversary of Independence from British rule in 2007.
