The Hindu Students Council at Purdue University hosted a lecture on "Science of Ayurveda" here at Krannert Auditorium at 7pm. This lecture is part of the "Speaker on Campus" series organized by Hindu Swayamsevak Sangh, USA. About 35 people attended the lecture, of which quite a number were non-Indians.

The lecture lasted for slightly more than an hour. Dr. Vimal Patel gave a brief introduction to ayurveda and was not able to go into details due to time constraints. The powerpoint presentation was very helpful in bringing forward important points of the topic. After the talk, there was a 10-minute Q&A session. Many of the audience were impressed with the fact that many, if not all, health problems that we face are due to our lifestyle and food habits.

Overall, it was a very educational talk especially to those who were not exposed to Ayurveda previously.
