Speaker On Campus

Welcome to the home page of 'Speaker On Campus'. A unique project which exposes the university intelligentsia to the ways of Hinduism through acclaimed masters of the subject. While the universities in US provide conducive environment for awareness and practice of various cultures and traditions, rarely we see events held specifically by Hindus on the campus. Speaker On Campus is one little step taken in this direction. The pearls of wisdom from ancient India are being mustered together by renowned speakers and strung together by Speaker On Campus. Thus formed ornament of knowledge is brought to realms of universities this coming Fall.

Speaker On Campus is an effort led by the students for the community. Various students from different universities came together and felt a need for bringing more awareness on campus about Hindu way of life. It is but surprising that even in the current state of world, people have overlooked social model which propagated the thought of "World is but one family" and "Let all be happy, prosperous, and healthy". The students felt that this is their responsibility and took up the project to bring forth such stream of thoughts. SoC is not only a platform for awareness about Hindu way of life but also a forum for people to come together and share their thoughts about it. So then why limit it to the universities? University is not the 'limit' but the beginning! The most dynamic, most galvanized, and with most potential section of any society is its youth. Yet it is same section of the society which is many times most uninformed and even contemptuous of ancient cultures. Not only this, in universities one can find people who will keenly dissect such topics to people who will rather prefer watching a wall. SoC is an attempt to bring both these ends together - while the speaker's unfathomable depth in their subject will satisfy the curious mind, the project will also try to reach out to more people in the community.
