What is Speaker on Campus (SoC)?

Speaker on Campus  is a unique project of Hindu YUVA which exposes the university intelligentsia to the Hindu religion, philosophy, culture and contributions in various fields through acclaimed masters of the subject. A number of speakers who are well known experts in their fields travel across many different campuses across the US mostly during the fall season, presenting their topic of study in front of the university audience. These programs are organized with the help of local Hindu YUVA chapters (or other interested student groups or deparments) active on campus. Since 2007, the program has covered more than 60 different campuses acroos the United States.

Primary Objectives:

1. Bring the vast body of Hindu knowledge be it in philosophy, culture, traditions, science, art, literature, lanugage, medicine to name a few, to the attention of students and faculty in the major US universities.

2.  Provide a platform to not only to learn, but also to share, discuss and come up with new ideas, enhancing the common understanding of the topic of interest.

3. Give a chance to emiment speakers and researchers in the area to present and popluraize their ideas in a number of university environments.

The following speakers, as a part of Speaker on Campus, will deliver talks in various universities coming fall 2010. They have traveled widely around the globe and are revered for not only their command on the subject but also its presentation.
