Karyakarta Orientation Varg

On the weekend of January 21 and 22, Hindu Swayamsevak Sangh held a special Karyakarta Orientation Varg at the Bothin Youth Center in Fairfax, CA. Around 125 karyakartas from the general Bay Area, along with Sacramento, attended. Of these there were around 9 kishors. This varg was the first part of seven in the Sapta Bindu plan that Sangh has devised as an agenda to follow this year, in celebration of Shri Gurujis Janma Shatabdi.
There were many key elements that were focused upon in this varg. The first was to discover more about the life and thoughts of Shri Guruji, which by studying, we can better understand Sangh. On this subject, one of the many things that were taught in the varg is that it is only selflessness that will help Sangh succeed.
Following this, the goals of the different Janma Shatabdi Utsavs that are planned this year were discussed. These were tied in with the introduction of the Sapta Bindu plan, which goes as follows:
-Karyakarta Orientation Varg
-Udghatan, Udbodhan (Inauguration, Oration)
-Pradarshan, Prachar (Exhibition, Campaign)
-Sampark, Prachar (Contacts, Campaign)
-Chintan, Manthan (Brainstorming Discussion)
-Hindu Sammelan (Conglomeration)
-Sangrah, Samiksha, Sanghatan (Compilation, Review, Unity)

Many segments of this plan were discussed individually in a series of PowerPoint presentations. These steps are meant to act as a progressive agenda in conducting Sangh activities, with precise targets for specific times of the year. With the execution of this varg, the first step of the plan has been implemented.
A third focus in the varg was on personal development and enhancement of skills. On this, Yashwant Pathakji gave two wonderful boudhiks, which incorporated incidences from Shri Gurujis life to demonstrate skills that we should develop.
One final thing that was brought up in varg was the introduction of KBRE, or Kaun Banega Ramayana Expert. After a PowerPoint presentation, each shakha selected a target sankhya of swayamsevaks they expected to enroll in KBRE.
Overall, the varg was successful in achieving its objective of informing all karyakartas about Sangh's plans for this year of Shri Gurujis Janma Shatabdi. As a result, each shakha in the Bay Area and their respective karyakartas are prepared to do their parts in making this sublime year one which bears many fruits.
